You're invited! :)
What even is this?
Voyagers is a private, invite only musebox with no rules, no obligations, no responsibilities, no AC. It will hopefully have a community feel where you can get whatever your heart desires out of it. No, seriously! Anything. Want random ass, unexpected CR? Get it! Want to hook up your character with someone? Get it! Want to build strong CR/try out character growth/destruction? Want a place to play a char for a day and never visit that char again? GET IT!! etc. etc. etc.
The idea for the mechanics of this place was borrowed shamelessly from outsideinn which borrowed theirs from millwaysbar which grabbed theirs from a piece of fiction. I FORGET WHICH. The concept is basically that there is a place (inn, bar, etc) that is in between universes, which people can come to chill at together or have great plots or do whatever the fuck you want.
Currently, Voyagers is set on a cruise ship, which travels through an endless ocean and has no destination. On the main deck, there is The Door. It is just chilling at the front of the cruise ship, thinking it is King of the World (WOOO!). Characters come through this door from wherever they were before. If you don't feel like playing out the WHERE AM I?-ness of it, you can pretend like they've been here before. There are NPCs in cruise ship uniforms who will give characters a brief rundown of: "You're in a place between universes! Enjoy the cocktails!" If you try to punch one of them, your fist will go through them. Maybe they're ghosts or holograms! Who knows?
The Door can be locked for that specific character for as long as you want in case they're the type to try to get back immediately. Later, the door can be unlocked, and they can walk back into whatever life they come from. A mysterious force can also drag them back through the door when you want them to get on with their lives if they're the type to be reluctant to return to whatever universe they came from. They can come and go as much as you want them. It is up to you if the character remembers their time in Voyagers while they're not here. Will it affect things back home? Do they take the random advice they got over drinks at the bar? Do they try to take someone home with them and will it work? That is up to you! 8) When the character comes back though, they will remember the CR that they made in Voyagers and get to develop it, grow it, etc.
Characters will have a room w/ their name indented into it. The door will open only for them if it's closed though once the door is open all bets are off. It is up to you whether they are in a First Class room or a regular passenger room though I especially recommend saddling those who don't deserve Nice Things with a regular room. ;)
Anything about the cruise ship that you want to be a thing? It's a thing. This is all of your sandboxes too. While I won't have more of a setting post than this, I might put up a post for people to comment on with little details that they've added to the ship. Like for instance, is there a saxophone player who is also a ghost that gives amazing tunes at midnight on the deck? Is the pool always a little too cold? Is there a comedy show every Thursday which is laughably terrible? Create your own NPCs. Create your own anything!

FAQ
1) Rizzy, are you the mod?
Edit as of...09/07/2014: I AM KIND OF THE MOD, yes.Heck no! There are no mods here. This is a musebox. In all seriousness, I was a mod for five years, and while I always will love BTR and my time modding there, I don't really want to be a full-on mod again. Plus, there just aren't mods here cause I trust ya'll with it, and there are literally no rules. If you want to know if you can do something, the answer is YESSSSS!!!!!!!!!!! except for... okay, so there's one rule.
2) What rule, gurl?
One character per person so like once someone claims a character, the character is theirs to do with as they please until they no longer feel like playing them. Once they're claimed, you can do whatever you want to with 'em! Play them from their canon! Play them from an AU or a game-related AU. Play them from canon most of the time, but bring in an AU version once or twice to freak out their current CR. Bring them from an earlier time point than when they're usually around or a much later one. That is up to you. 8)
3) Can I plot stuff?
Heck yeah! You can plot anything at all that you want from tiny things like PARTAYS to big things like OHNO four chars are stuck in a raft somehow in the middle of the ocean/stranded/the ship temporarily wrecked on this island WTF?! You can have some supernatural curse take over the ship for a day or a week. You can have one character bring another character to their universe with them or have the mysterious force shove them that way. Does it change things there? What happens? There are no limits!
You also don't have to plot a single thing. 8)
Edit as of 9/7/14: There is an incoming plot for the whole ship, which people are free to participate in or completely ignore whichever they would prefer. :)
4) Will you ever plot stuff?
Maybe! And maybe if we get tired of this setting, one day I can be like, HI GAIZ you tired of this damn cruise ship? And if it's mostly YEAH then the whole setting can change like to a theme park or a haunted house, but the basic mechanics of the place will stay the same.
5) Who can I play?
Anyone! No, seriously! Play your strongest. Play your newest. Play your oldest. If you have the sudden urge one week to play a character you'll never play again, do it! Hit by nostalgia? Reel that up on the post. Wanna test drive someone? Go for it! Got a muse that is not so strong but you wanna play around with them and get them CR? Throw 'em in here! Wanna have some laughs with a completely crack character? Go for it. Wanna mash random characters again? HELL YEAH. Are you worried that someone might expect you to be around with a character more than you can be? Pff forget about it.. and see the next number!!!
6) Do I have to be active?
Not at all! 8) That is the beauty of this setting. If your character isn't around, their close CR will assume they're in their own universe doing their own thing, but it is not unusual or worrying not to see someone around for a long time. So no, you don't have to worry about activity here. You can be really active w/ one character and barely active w/ another or a few others. There are no rules, no pressure, and no requirements.
7) Can I just play something shippy/family related/specific type of CR?
SURE. Just indicate it at the top of the post, you can do whatever you want here. Like if you're just wanting shippy stuff, you can write something like looking for a hottie to flirt with this hottie. Etc!
8) Woah, it has been a long time since I tagged this/Man, I don't think I can get back to this thread anymore after all this time/HOLY Flying squirrels, batman, my inbox is overflowing and I think I need to drop stuff at that weird cruise ship place. Should I feel bad?
Heck to the no!!!!! There is absolutely nothing to feel bad about. This place is not serious at all, and you don't have to feel bad about any of the above.
9) Okay, tho but I know there's no AC but I don't think I'm playing this character anymore. How do I drop?
Just delete the comment from the cast list since this cast list will be super lazily done and not look pretty at all, but it is just for us knowing who plays who. Fuck aesthetics!
10) This sounds awesome but I am totally swamped right now with life/I don't think this is for me.
My answer to both is: That is totally cool. :) This musebox is all about doing whatever you want or can do like I said no rules, no requirements at all. The invite is open to you forever so if later on you wanna jump in, feel free!
